Crested Butte is the states premiere ski and recreation area located in the heart of the Rocky Mountains, Crested Butte feels so far away from it all, but it's closer than you think! (Only 24 miles from Gunnison airport). During the winter Crested Butte boasts 1,160 skiable acres. Crested Butte is home to the US Extreme Skiing and Snowboard Championships, which is held here every year.
